There are key tips to improving at anything in your life.
Enjoy it. Find the way to participate that offers you some enjoyment, then it is not drudgery, it is fun.
Increase the intensity; get out of your comfort zone. If you want to be a better writer, it involves writing a lot and getting things read by someone who can provide you valuable feedback.
Set a goal. And then set some objectives. This is planning your success. If you have a goal to get published or climb V14, then you need to commit to specific amount of work at the end goal. This can develop objectives, such as writing 500 words a day and submitting 3 articles per week to various potential forums for publishing. Or if it is a climbing goal, then plan to do x number of tries at y level of difficulty with z amount of rest.
Practice regularly. Those objectives must be practiced toward on a regular basis. Perhaps three to four days a week if it is climbing, or four to five days for writing.
There are more tips to be offered that are specific to success, but this is a great starting point. Just do it! That is really the only way to proceed.
